Occasionally, in transit or through unintentional erratic button-pressing, the SmartCore capacity display can become uncalibrated and show false readings (e.g.: showing a fully-charged pack as being at 20 - 60%). Re-calibrating your battery can solve this problem!

Calibrating new Lupine SmartCore batteries (sold after April 2014):

To calibrate batteries shipped after April 2014, fully discharge the battery using a lamphead. Then, fully recharge. It's that simple!

Calibration sequences for older (sold before April 2014) Lupine SmartCore batteries:

Sequence for 13.2Ah SmartCore Lupine battery:

1- With the battery not connected, press and hold button until 100% LED only comes on (it takes about 8 seconds), then let go. PRESS the button 1 time while the 100% LED is still shining.

2- Wait... until 80% LED comes on, then press button three (3) times.

3- Wait... as it cycles through some other LEDs; but do not press the button anymore.

4- Wait... the array will flash, and you're done with the technical stuff!

5- Now, you must discharge the battery (with a lamphead), and finally, fully recharge. This should solve the problem.


Sequence for 11.2Ah SmartCore Lupine battery:

1- With the battery not connected, press and hold button until 100% LED only comes on (it takes about 8 seconds), then let go. PRESS the button 1 time while the 100% LED is still shining.

2- Wait... until 80% LED comes on, then press button one (1) time.

3- Wait... as it cycles through some other LEDs; but do not press the button anymore.

4- Wait... the array will flash, and you're done with the technical stuff!

5- Now, you must discharge the battery (with a lamphead), and finally, fully recharge. This should solve the problem.


Sequence for 8.4Ah SmartCore Lupine battery:

1- With the battery not connected, press and hold button until 100% LED only comes on (it takes about 8 seconds), then let go. DO NOT PRESS the button as long the 100% LED is still turned on - wait until it turns off.

2- Wait... until 80% LED comes on, then press button eight (8) times.

3- Wait... until 40% LED comes on, then press button two (2) times.

4- Wait... the array will flash, and you're done with the technical stuff!

5- Now, you must discharge the battery (with a lamphead), and finally, fully recharge. This should solve the problem.


Sequence for 6.6Ah SmartCore Lupine battery:

1- With the battery not connected, press and hold button until 100% LED only comes on (it takes about 8 seconds), then let go. DO NOT PRESS the button as long the 100% LED is still turned on - wait until it turns off.

2- Wait... until 80% LED comes on, then press button six (6) times.

3- Wait... until 60% LED comes on, then press button four (4) more times.

4- Wait... the array will flash, and you're done with the technical stuff!

5- Now, you must discharge the battery (with a lamphead), and finally, fully recharge. This should solve the problem.

1- With the battery not connected, press and hold button until 100% LED only comes on (it takes about 8 seconds), then let go. DO NOT PRESS the button as long the 100% LED is still turned on - wait until it turns off.

2- Wait... until 80% LED comes on, then press button five (5) times.

3- Wait... until 60% LED comes on, then press button five (5) more times.

4- Wait... the array will flash, and you're done with the technical stuff!

5- Now, you must discharge the battery (with a lamphead), and finally, fully recharge. This should solve the problem.

1- With the battery not connected, press and hold button until 100% LED only comes on (it takes about 8 seconds), then let go. DO NOT PRESS the button as long the 100% LED is still turned on - wait until it turns off.

2- Wait... until 80% LED comes on, then press button twice (2 times).

3- Wait... until 60% LED comes on, then press button five (5) times.

4- Wait... the array will flash, and you're done with the technical stuff!

5-Now, you must discharge the battery (with a lamphead), and finally, fully recharge. This should solve the problem.
