Love it for use in camp shelters/remote cabins, December 7, 2016 By Mike F. (Lancaster, PA)(Verified)
I use this filter at the end of the day as general illumination for my campsite. Rather than having a hotspot, this filter gives a more even distribution of light. Outside I aim the light to the ground in front of the bike. In shelters, I do bounce-illumination by aiming the light at the walls or, most often, ceiling.
I find this filter works best in shelters, and the Red Filter works best outside, where you don’t want to desense your eyes as you move around the campsite while keeping your lamp fixed to you bicycle.
