Tracy Scotten has been riding mountain bikes since 2019 when her now husband, Chris, had her dust off her old 26 inch hardtail on their second date. He instantly got her hooked on the sport. By winter that year, Chris slapped his 10 year old Wilma Lupine Light (which still worked like a charm!) onto her handlebar so she could ride all winter long after work, which helped her vastly improve.
After a year of XC riding she went on a group ride with Chris and Todd to Mount Gretna for the first time and discovered a whole new world of technical riding. The fast, rocky downhills were an instant thrill and her love for enduro riding, rocks, and catching air started that day. She credits Mount Gretna for changing her trajectory on what mountain biking became for her to this day – gravity focused.
Since then, she’s won and podiumed on nearly a dozen races – ranging from Enduro, Cross Country, and gravel. She never defines herself to one genre, as she feels that all types of biking are special and challenging in their own way. For 2026, her goal is to race enduro at places she’s never tried before in the Eastern States Cup and West Virginia series to build upon her technical skill. She also plans to do a couple gravel and XC races – especially the night race at Bear Creek, hosted by the MID Atlantic Super Series. This will give her the chance to race with her favorite light set up – a Blika on her helmet and a Wilma on her bars!
In 2027 and beyond, she has her sights set on the Enduro National Championship and would like to expand into new types of cycling to continue learning and spark more challenge for herself. The hope is to get into some crit racing and single speed mountain biking (this requires obtaining more bikes – twist her arm!)
